After COVID began, my wife fell in love with a house in the Marina that had been on the market for some time; however, the listed price was outside of our budget. Katie buttered up the seller's agent and had the house under contract within a week for 10% less than asking with a 60-day outside closing date and a buyer's contingency.

For about two years I was on an independent search for a single family home or a duplex in my price range on the West Side of Los Angeles.
