Nonprofits to know — Tiny Beans Kitten Lounge

Cuddle with kittens on Abbot Kinney!

Behind a small storefront at 1522 Abbot Kinney Blvd, just two doors down from our Venice office, some friendly feline neighbors have moved in. You can visit them and hopefully fall in love with your own new companion at Tiny Beans Kitten Lounge.

This pop up, open now through October 31st, is part of an initiative to support the rescue and rehabilitation of cats during kitten season. Kitten season goes from spring to fall when around 10,000 new kittens are born and subsequently orphaned in the LA area. Rescues work around the clock to find and pick up these sweet creatures from off the streets; but foster homes able to take them in fill up quickly. That’s where the Kitten Lounge comes in.

Tiny Beans Kitten Lounge is a facility that can house up to 20 kittens at a time. This frees up foster homes, allowing them to nurse and rehabilitate more kittens. Once ready to be adopted, the cats are brought to the lounge to live, play, socialize, and fully heal. Every animal to come there will stay until they are adopted — a 100% save rate. And humans can visit and play with them there as well!

Reservations are recommended due to capacity limitations and masks are required at this time. Something else to be aware of is that visitors are required to remove shoes inside.

The pop up is open now through October 31st.
