Local Spotlight: Culver City’s Hottest Place For Frozen Treats

Home to Sony studios, National Public Radio west and the NFL Network, Culver City is a hot spot for the creative minds that inhabit LA. Culver City also offers an abundance of fantastic restaurants and activities, including Gingers Divine Ice Creams, located in the West Washington district.

Ginger and her crew labored years to transform a traditional Culver City house into a fun and fresh ice cream eatery. We love that the staff at Ginger’s live in the neighborhood they serve. They are licensed by the California Department of Agriculture to make ice cream on the premises. That means fresh, handmade sweets. For us, the typical grocery store cartons just won’t cut it after experiencing these delights.

They make handcrafted small batch ice cream, daily baked cookies, and unique flavored pops for dipping.

Ginger sources her fruits from the Mar Vista and Santa Monica farmers markets and all of the dairy is also sourced locally. Ginger’s flavors are inspired by the rich cultural diversity that makes Culver City unique. We’re especially excited to try Mascarpone with Bacon Jam Brittle, Oaxaca Habanero Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam and, of course, “The Dude” White Russian. That’s just, like, our opinion, man. 😉

Ginger isn’t just about delicious hand-made ice cream. It’s also about some of the best cookies on planet earth. Taste one and you’re hooked forever.

…and now that we’re all drooling… we hope to see you there!
