WildLights at the Living Desert

WildLights at The Living Desert is celebrating 26 years by transforming the zoo into a sparkling winter wonderland. This festive, annual tradition features more than a million colorful, sparkling holiday lights. Guests will encounter a herd of life-size, luminescent animal lanterns including giraffe and cheetahs, explore newly added pathways and stroll through the popular tunnel of lights flashing to holiday music.

Animal encounters, zookeeper chats, camel rides, carousel rides, and more entertainment are offered nightly. In WildLights tradition, the festive G-scale model trains with more than 3,300 feet of track will be decked out for the holidays. Delicious food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Palm Desert Gingerbread House Building

Get messy with ginger bread, frosting and colored candies! Make a gingerbread house just in time for the holidays. For ages 12 and under. There will be two separate one-hour events, one from noon to 1 p.m. and the second identical session from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Each session will be limited to 100 children.
