Summer Music Series — Where to Catch Outdoor Music Concerts the Pardee Way!

Its hard to believe we are in the middle of the magical summer season! We want to help you make the most of these warm summer days and cool summer nights with this guide to some free summer concerts, so you can rock out over the next couple of months. So grab your family and friends, your picnic dinner, some comfortable beach chairs and blankets and join us for some awesome tunes throughout Los Angeles!

Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series

Free concerts are held at Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey on Thursdays and Saturdays (beginning July 12 and concluding on September 1) from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Check the website for a schedule of performers. Seating is first-come, first-served. You can RSVP online.

PARKING: There is parking in Public Parking Lot # 4 (combined with Lot 2), at 13500 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey which is one block from Chace Park.

Culver City’s Boulevard Music Summer Series

This annual summer music series, produced by Gary Mandell of Boulevard Music, is presented in Culver City’s City Hall Courtyard.

WHEN: Thursday evenings starting at 7:00 pm through August 16
WHERE: Culver City City Hall – 9770 Culver Blvd., Culver City
COST: Free
PARKING: There is 2-hour free parking with concert validation in public lots nearby

Concert in the Park

The Concerts in the Park are a huge community favorite! Walk, bike or take the free Playa Vista Daily Shuttle to come out and enjoy an evening of live music and fun. Concerts in the park feature gourmet food trucks at every event!

Summer Music Series

The Point hosts free live musical performances each Wednesday, beginning July 11th and concluding on August 29th. Concerts are from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and cover a range of musical genres including country, rock, and more.

El Segundo Summer Concerts in the Park

Library Park in El Segundo hosts four free concerts during the summer on June 17th, July 8th, July 22nd, and August 5th. Concerts begin at 4:00 pm. Local food trucks will also be on site.

Summer Season at the Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the LA Philharmonic and other performers are scheduled throughout the summer at the historic Hollywood Bowl.

WHEN: June through September (lease concerts continue into October)
WHERE: 2301 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood
COST: Varies, check Goldstar for discount tickets.
PARKING: Lots range from $20-$25 per car. Shuttles available as well (see site for details)

Twilight Dance and Music at the Santa Monica Pier

The Annual Thursday Twilight Music and Dance Series at Santa Monica Pier features some of LA’s favorite hometown and visiting bands.

PARKING: 1550 Pacific Coast Highway Lot for a fee, no parking on the Pier

2018 Summer of Music

Redondo Beach Pier is the site of free concerts every Thursday and Saturday night during the summer from July 5th through August 30th. Musical genres include jazz, rock, salsa, swing, country, blues, and Hawaiian. Concerts are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

WHERE: Redondo Pier, 100 Fisherman’s Wharf, Redondo Beach, CA 90277

PARKING: Multi-level parking structure, $2 per hour

Concerts on Canon

Every Thursday evening, from June 7th through August 30th, families are invited to enjoy free live musical performances. A variety of musical genres will be performed including Big Band, Latin Salsa, Jazz, and more. There are two 45-minute performances each night — one at 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm and one from 7:15-8:00 pm. Seating is first-come, first served.
