Cuisine For a Cause — 6th Annual Taste of Summer This Weekend
This Saturday, July 29th is Santa Monica’s 6th Annual Taste of Summer event and culinary connoisseurs can’t wait to get in on the action!
Taste delicious foods and refreshing beverages at an iconic Santa Monica venue and, in doing so, contribute to an incredible cause. What foodie wouldn’t want to be a part of such a special event? This year, Taste of Summer will be hosted by Julie Chang (Good Day LA, FOX) and Shira Lazar (What’s Trending). With renowned chefs and tastings from restaurants, wineries, breweries, and beverage-makers throughout Los Angeles, the event is sure to please even the pickiest eaters.
We’re looking forward to the special presentations from Honorary Chefs Nyesha Arrington (Top Chef) and Eric Greenspan (The Foundry, Mare and The Rooftop on Wilshire). They’re crowd favorites!
Taste of Summer will be held at the Victorian in Santa Monica. Not only will this event taste delicious, the ambiance won’t be so bad either — with the Victorian style of the historic house itself and its beautiful gardens. Tastings will be held in the yard, under the charming fairy lights and inside, guests can enjoy live entertainment and DJs throughout the stunning home.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Fulfillment Fund-Leadership Council, who work to support Fulfillment Fund. The mission of Fulfillment Fund is to make college a reality for students growing up in educationally and economically under-resourced communities. The Leadership Council is a young professionals board comprised of individuals who support the organization’s mission. Through advocacy, service, and fundraising, members of the Leadership Council act as ambassadors in the community, marketing the organization to a new generation and soliciting financial, volunteer, and in-kind donations on behalf of the Fulfillment Fund and its students. Now that’s a cause we can all get behind!
